He was one of the most memorable Princes of Wales and the Welsh love ring epitomises the love between these two people in their struggle to ward off the invasions from England.

St Justin - Welsh wedding band (silver)St Justin - Welsh wedding band (silver)

Sterling silver wedding band ring with Welsh dragon engraving on inside.

The official emblem of Wales, the dragon (y ddraigg goch), although perhaps of Chinese origin, was introduced to Britain by the Romans some 1800 years ago. Initially a military standard, over time this mythical beast developed into the flag of the nation. Henry VII claimed descent fron Cadwaladar, the great Welsh king, traditionally called the last king of Britain whose dragon symbol, redolent of bravery and fierceness, had been taken up by later Welsh princes. An ideal ring for a very special day!

St Justin - Atlantis ring (silver)St Justin - Atlantis ring (silver)

High polished sterling silver ring. Re-creation of ancient Egyptian amulet.

Discovered in 1860, in the Valley of the Kings by the Marquis dÆAgrain, the original ring was made of clay. The ring was over a thousand years old but it was only in 1922 that its reputation came to light. The explorer, Howard Carter, had been entrusted with the safe keeping of the ring and he and Lord Carnarvon were excavating archaeological sites when they discovered Tutankhamun's tomb. The tomb entrance bore the warning of a curse on whomever violated it. They both entered the tomb and revealed its magnificent contents to the world. Legend states that Carter was saved by the ring he wore, from the curse of Tutankhamun, making him the sole survivor of a group of 19 people who all died within the year following the discovery of the sarcophagus.

St Justin - St Piran flag ring (silver)St Justin - St Piran flag ring (silver)

Sterling silver D section band with black cold enamel flag.

St Piran is the patron saint of tin miners and also the national saint of Cornwall. St Piran rediscovered tin-smelting when his black hearthstone, which was evidently a slab of tin-bearing ore, had the tin smelt out of it and rise to the top to form a white cross. From this came the St Piran flag which is the white cross on the black background that you can see all over Cornwall today. St Piran's day is celebrated annually on 5 March.

Sterling silver D section band with engraved runic inscription - friends forever.

There are several runic alphabets which have developed over the centuries and are believed to have originated maybe as far back as 200 years BC. In early English and related languages the word rune meant mystery or secret. The earliest runes were engraved on stone, metal or bone. The inscription around this ring is written using the Elder Futhark and is spelt phonetically, as it would have been spelt many centuries ago. It reads: friends forever.
